Buzz B Berkeley of Vancouver Washington stumbled onto our site while searching for things to do in Las Vegas when he’s not busy teaching people how to win at Craps. I contacted Buzz and asked what kind of firearm he would like to shoot while here. He asked about shooting a Thompson Machine Gun so I made a call to Ernie Beckwith over at American Shooters and inquired about their Tommy Gun. Ernie told us to come on over once Buzz got to town….So we did. Ernie then introduced us to Alika Liborio who told us a bit about the 1928 Thompson Machine Gun. After that, Buzz and I took turns trying it out. The rifle was about 1.5 times heavier than I had expected but it was very accurate and a heck of a lot of fun. Next time I’m going to have to wear a Zoot Suit though. ;)

Thank You Guys… It was a “blast” – actually, it was hundreds of blasts!! I had never fired a machine gun before, and had a secret desire to play “Capone”… You made the fantasy real for me! …but, I should have dressed for the occasion!
I was surprised when I stepped into your store… surprised by the size and the incredible selections of everything gun related. Amazing Inventory… then I spotted it… hanging on one of your “walls-o-guns”. Your Thompson Machine Gun!!
Among the many friendly staff that offered to help me was a young man that knew so much about a-gun-so-old – surprised again! He took me to the range and set me up. There I was, holding my fantasy weapon, with full confidence in your staff and the “tommy gun”. It was a hoot to shoot!!!!
Buzz,
Glad you had a good time. Every red-blooded American should shoot a Tommy gun at least once! Great gun that represents a great era in our nations history. Feel free to hit me up any time you are in town.
Best regards,
Ernie
I need to get down there and shoot the Tommy. Moral imperative. Must be done.
