Looking for something different to add to your gun collection? If so, you’ve come to the right place. For the last 30+ years, Long Mountain Outfitters has grown to be one of the largest class 3 dealers in the United States. Owner Dan Shea travels the world locating and purchasing unique firearms and accessories and in turn supplies multiple agencies with weapons as well as the necessary training on how to use, repair, and maintain it all. The LMO Working Reference Collection is the 2nd largest private gun collection in the country and although a handful of the weapons are too rare to risk firing, the majority of the collection is available for training and usage to Government agencies.
As with all successful businesses, you need to keep things fresh and new. Keeping this in mind, Long Mountain Outfitters made the decision to open their first ever retail location in Henderson, NV. “We’ve been privately providing products and services to a select group of customers for years.” Says Mr. Shea. “Now it’s time to offer our interesting and eclectic military weapons and accessories to the public.”
So what exactly makes this new gun store so different? Well, for starters, it’s not every day that you can walk into a shop and ask to see the Penn Arms PGL-65 that’s hanging on the wall. I’ve been to other stores which had an M2 on display but at LMO, you can actually buy a stripped receiver or the entire gun with a pallet of linked .50 cal ammo. They also stock a large selection of suppressors, short barreled rifles and shotguns, sniper systems including night vision, black rifles, handguns, machine guns, and tactical shotguns. Not only do they have the latest and greatest but they also stock hard to find historical firearms as well. Of course no gun store would be complete without the ability to offer a wide range of ammunition and LMO has that covered too. Even the hard to find stuff and surplus bulk ammo is available. The constant flow of new inventory makes for an interesting visit every time you stop by the store.
Over the years LMO has supplied various firearms for movie and video game productions and some of those guns are featured in the store. You can check them out and even get your picture taken with them if you like. Do you carry a P90 in Call of Duty? Well, LMO has the very gun that was used to create the game…Not a gun like it…THE actual P90 that was used in the digitizing process. They also have guns from Terminator, Rambo, Red Dawn, Scarface, and many other movies.Long Mountain Outfitters has partnered up with Matt Babb of Bentwood Gunsmithing and the new Bentwood shop is on premises and able to handle your custom work and/or repairs in house. Keep your eye on 702shooter.com for an update showcasing more of Bentwood’s new location and services.
These are the actual guns that were used to create the games and movies.
Whatever you are looking for in the way of guns & ammo, if LMO doesn’t stock it, the chances are they can get it or already have one on the way.
