I know many of you may find this difficult to believe but apparently people like free stuff. Who knew right? Anyway, in order to please the masses and offer something back to the community, Ben Bunker from NevadaGunTrustAttorney.com , in participation with GlockVector Industries, has booked Larry Vickers for a 3 day carbine training course October 19-21, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. There are 15 spots in the class and Ben is giving them all away. EDIT: I’ve had way too many people ask me how much the class spots are selling for. YOU CAN NOT BUY INTO THIS CLASS!

Each store will be giving away at least one slot in the class and you may enter as many times as you like, although you can only win once.
So what’s better than a free 3 day carbine class with Larry Vickers? Well, how about a free BCM AR-15 lightweight carbine? Yep, you read that right. Thanks to Mr. Bunker, 702shooter.com is also giving away a slot in the class and we have a rifle to go along with it!
Of course, a rifle and training are useless without ammo so how about 1000 rounds of PMC 223A as well? I know, all this free stuff can make for quite the burden so I’m sure we won’t get very many people entering this drawing. 
This unfired Bravo Company AR has been upgraded a bit too. For starters, the 14.5″ chrome lined barrel now has a BattleComp compensator welded on so the winner does not need to worry about registering it as an SBR. The front sight post has been cut down to make way for the new 11″ Troy Industries TRX BattleRail. Magpul’s MBUIS were added along with a new MOE Stock and MOE+ grip. 3 PMAGs with Ranger Plates will also go with the package. The trigger pin was loose so some KNS Non-Rotating hammer and trigger pins were added to the mix. The bolt, carrier, and hammer have all been Nickle Boron coated by WMD Guns.

As I was checking it out, I noticed that the trigger was the weak link in the rifle . It had a lot of creep and was not all that smooth. Lucky for you guys, Jim West of Wild West Guns noticed this too and offered to rework the trigger to make it more respectable. Jim also offered to do some work on the barrel which consists of cleaning up the weld and re-parkerizing the entire barrel and compensator.

So what’s the catch? Well, there are a couple of them. First off, obviously you need to be at least 18 years old and able to legally purchase a firearm in the United States. The package will be given away at the training class and you must be present at the class to claim the rifle and ammo. If you are entering this drawing and live out of state, after the class, the rifle will be transferred to your local FFL where you will be responsible for any transfer and background check fees. See below for special exceptions that are necessary for CA, MA, NY, & CT. Once again, this class is October 19-21, 2012. We will be selecting the winner about 3 weeks before the class in order to allow transportation arrangements to be made by the winner, in case they live out of state. If you are the winner and you are not able to make it to the class, you will forfeit all prizes and a new winner will be selected.

This looks like an outstanding package. Rifle, mags, ammo, AND Larry Vickers. Definitely worth the cost of a plane ticket from Michigan to head to Vegas. I really appreciate the work that has gone into this AR. Not only the tune-up, but especially adding the compensator so as not to have to deal with SBR requirements (I need to refresh myself on this one; I think here in Michigan that it would count as a pistol under our laws…). What does the 3 day class consist of? Is it Vickers Carbine I, II, and III? I’d be as jacked about the learning that would take place at the course as I would be about the boomstick, and I’d be pretty damn jacked about the boomstick. This would also be as good of an excuse as I’m ever going to get to tell HH6 that I/we are going to Vegas and I need some new plates for the old mayflower (cuz as Pat Rogers says “PC’s without plates is peter puffin…..ok ok, we all know what he says about it). I guess I’d also have to play the card that I’d need to pick up a new T1 to slap on her for the course. This Give away has TONS of win!

Great looking package! Does anyone happen to know the unloaded weight of the carbine?
The nickel boron coating should be standard for any direct impingement system! After getting my first BCG with the coating (sadly not from WMD Guns), I quickly upgraded my other AR. While I haven’t tried running it dry, it is noticeably smoother and stays that way after several hundred rounds. Cleaning is also a breeze. Good choice including it with the package!
Wow a class and an Awsome Rifle too! What a country! I’m from the cornbelt but love the southwest. Three days of shooting and learning and all the other goodies!! I resisted getting an AR type rifle for years my use of one in the Army (86-90) had convinced me that my DAD was right about them (He did 2 tours in nam) mattel POS. New developments in the AR platform have recently got me wanting one and this package with the training would be a great way to start off!! I’ve worked the last eight years as a Security Officer for a couple of companys the last a multinational that bought out Pinkerton here in the states. I recently got laid off due to loss of a major contract and this would just make my year! So please consider my entry. hope to hear from you! Keep your powder dry!

Is there anything you didn’t think to add while making this killer giveaway? With this rifle being brand new and unfired to let the winner unleash havoc on some targets is awesome. The 14.5″ chrome lined barrel with BattleComp welded on was a great start. Welded on making it where I wouldn’t have to register it as a short barrel rifle is much appreciated. The 11″ Troy Industries TRX BattleRail would be cool to have and try. I would usually never go for a rail like this, but the pictures of this are making me want one! Also the 3 PMAGs with Ranger Plates put the topping on the cake for this rifle. Also not stopping there you even put KNS Non-Rotating hammer and trigger pins on this rifle. This would be a dream rifle for anyone to win and no offense but I hope I win this rifle! Good luck everyone and also thanks for the opportunity 702 shooter ! I’ll be checking my email a lot for this !
My unit didn’t get M4s till after I ets-ed. I’ve had my eye on getting an AR for a long time, though it hard to justify to the wife with a baby on the way. She would however be okay entertaining herself in Vegas for a couple days during the class
