As we were starting our morning and trying to decide which booth to begin with, we were approached by the guys over at AXTS Weapons Systems who invited us by their space for a look at their A-DAC rifle. A-DAC stands for “Ambidextrous Dual Action Catch” but to be honest, the name doesn’t really indicate how far AXTS has taken the ambidextrous features of this rifle. Every, yes, EVERY part of this lower can be used from either side of the receiver.
In the video, Joshua Underwood shows how the magazine and bolt release buttons eliminate the need for aftermarket accessories such as the B.A.D. Lever. The bolt release on the left side is also slightly extended allowing easier reach from the left hand index finger. There is also a built in, patent pending, Left Hand magazine release and anti rotation hammer pin. The safety selector is the Battle Arms Development Ambidextrous Safety Selector A.K.A. the B.A.D.A.S.S. Battle Arms Development sent us one of these in December and we will be showcasing it in a write up later this month.
These lowers and rifles will be available soon in both AR-15 and AR-10 versions.
