Each year I get excited about stopping by the EOTech booth to see what new products they have to offer. This year was no different. They have a couple of new products which caught my attention. To be perfectly honest, I’m not into the whole “Zombie” thing but obviously this is a huge market. Ruger has their “Zombie Slayer” LCP, Hornady came out with Z-Max Zombie ammo, Otis has a Zombie gun cleaning kit, and there are many many other Zombie related products. EOTech has decided to join the crowd by offering their XPS2 sight in a “Zombie Stopper” edition which has a bio-hazard reticle. I have to admit that although I would never buy such a thing, it is kinda neat and there is definitely a market for it.

The product that I liked the most was their new Integrated Forend Light or IFL. This is a light for your Mossberg 500 series or Remington 870 shotguns. It replaces the forend grip and offers an ambidextrous switch for turning the light off and on. The light also has a strobe mode. There are a number of similar products out there but from what I’ve seen, the IFL has a slimmer profile than most, if not all the others.
We’ve covered the G23 magnifier at previous Shot Shows and it’s a great product. This year, EOTech made some changes to the mounting system which, IMHO, are great. The G33 can now be flipped out of the way with a quick smack instead of having to work a mechanical release switch. They have also added a screw so that you can adjust the operation since the mount will loosen up over time.
Finally they have the WL1 which is a picatinny mounted light and/or light/laser combo which is very compact and runs off of AA batteries.

I love EOTech products. Got to get me one of those new XPS2z’s.
