Northwest Arms
For the past 7 years Kymtec, LLC has operated a gun store in Mesquite, NV. Recently the owners, Michelle Gordon and Tom MacNiece, relocated the business to the Las Vegas area. After researching available retail locations around the valley, they decided to open up Northwest Arms on the corner of Craig and Tenaya way. The new store is right off the 95 and Craig which is a great location for those needing ammo and shooting supplies while on their way to the Clark County Shooting Range. At present time there are no other gun stores in the NW part of town and the locals have been very supportive of the addition to the neighborhood. While I was visiting, a number of people came into the store and made comments like “I just noticed your sign and wanted to drop in and see what you have to offer.” Apparently they have received a good amount of customers who have been looking for a new gun store ever since the closure of Sportsman’s Warehouse back in April of 2009.
NW Arms sells a wide variety of firearms from a respectable size list of manufacturers and they are a Kimber Master Dealer. Their primary inventory consists of standard firearms and suppressors but they also handle other NFA items such as machine guns and SBR’s. Not only does the store sell brand new guns but they are also open to trades and sell used guns as well as offering consignment deals.

Michelle Gordon
While speaking with Michelle, she made it very clear that this store is all about serving the regular customers. They are not looking to be the next “tactical hot spot.” She also added that it’s important to her that the store is female friendly. As such, they carry the Gun Tote’n Mamas line of purses and offer a free gun safety class once a month.

Michelle and Tom believe it’s important for any gun owner to know how to properly maintain their weapons so whenever they sell a gun, they offer to show the customer how to break it down, clean, and reassemble their new purchase. This may not be a service that everybody needs but it sure doesn’t hurt to offer that level of customer support as an everyday thing.

I’m fairly new to guns, and havnt visited all the gun stores in las vegas, but this is the best one ive been to so far. Great customer service. they dont treat you like your dumb for being new to the hobby, and from what i can tell the prices are good too.

Will probably be one of the first stops I make once I get back in the states… I am hoping for something like NFA or better would be nice to see some things a little less tactical. I have high hopes.

Its great to see such an open gun store that is not all cluttered up. A lot of the stores I have been to are smaller than that one and get all cluttered up with goods. Its nice to see an open shop like that.

Im in the area alot, never noticed the store, but it looks like I will have to look hard. Trying to get my wife involved in shooting, and I love that your shop is female friendly!
I was at the mcdonalds today and noticed your store for the first time and put a smile on my face. I live right there between buffalo and alexander so im literally right down the street. Now i know where ill be getting my future firearm needs from :) now they just need to put a range close by and ill be set :)
