There are a few gun shops which are frequently discussed on the local posting forums. Some of those shops actively participate in online discussions by offering information and guidance to all. One of those shops is New Frontier Armory, locally referred to as “NFA.” Located in North Las Vegas, at 150 East Centennial Parkway, NFA is a small but growing store which opened up in August of 2009.
When I first entered the building, I was surprised to see how many customers were present. I had expected to find 1 or 2 simply because of how far North of the city I had to drive to get there. Although I didn’t take an actual count, I’d say there were at least a dozen customers (I patiently waited for a smaller crowd before taking the photos) and it was clear that NFA was doing a respectable amount of business.
I took my time and circled the store checking out what all they had in stock and picking up a few items along the way including the business card for the President of the company, David “Guido” Famiglietti. Over the fifteen or so minutes that I was browsing, I was politely offered assistance by three different employees, none of which seemed pushy or anything other than friendly and professional. I think we have all been to places where some of the staff tend to think a bit higher of themselves than they need to. NFA is not “that store.”
When I was ready to make my purchases, I stepped up to the counter where I was immediately greeted and asked if there was anything else they could help me with. I took this time to reflect back to the business card I had picked up and asked if David was available. I didn’t get the usual “why do you want to speak with him?” kinda crap that I’ve become used to. Instead, the employee turned around and asked David to come over.
After ringing up my new toys and tools, at a neighborly discounted rate, David took a few minutes to discuss his business with me. As I mentioned before, this is a small but growing store. Current plans are to double the size by expanding into the available spot next door. We also discussed their involvement in the community where they attend the local shooting gatherings and bring some of their products out for others to feel and try out.
Don’t let the size of this place fool you. They have a decent product selection and as I listened to the conversations around the store, it was clear to me that their customer service is top notch. Even with a store full of people and an event going on next door, nobody was left waiting without at least being greeted.
If you live in North Las Vegas then this shop is definitely worth checking out. I’d also like to mention that it’s only about 10 minutes from the Clark County Shooting Park so it’s a convenient place to come for any shooting needs that the CCSP may be unable to assist you with.

I always wondered how to say his last name!
We’re here to help like that. ;)
I’ve had many positive experiences over at New Frontier Armory. The guys there have always been extremely helpful and informative. It works out nicely because their shop is very close to my parents house and I believe its the only one in North Las Vegas. Well the only one worth going to anyway. Since the shop started out they have made leaps and bounds in a very short amount of time! I have done a good amount of transactions with “NFA”. I’ve had them transfer two precision bolt guns. I bought a very nice G21SF and Cliff went above and beyond to answer my questions. They are the first people I check out when I’m looking for ammo and 99% of the time they have it or will get it on the way for you. During the ammo drought I was able to score 500 rounds of .45 ACP! Now that they are starting to carry reloading supplies I will be in the shop more and more. I highly recommend you stop by New Frontier Armory to check them out no matter what part of the Valley you live in.
I have to say, in the short time they have been open, that they are now one of the top shops in the Vegas area. There are many people that hang out there just to shoot the BS, much like Spurlocks, the only other gun shop in the Vegas area that I regularly visit.
I am glad this place is not close to me or my house and car would fall apart, and I would have no money for vacations either.
Glad to see that NFA received a good review here! I will also put my 2 cents in… I would highly recommend this shop! The staff there is friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. So far my purchases there have been relatively small, a holster or a mag pouch or… well you get the picture. The great thing is, that doesn’t matter to the guys at NFA! They treated me like I was spending $2000 on a new rifle even when I was only spending $16 with tax! I just can not say enough about their high level of customer service! As far as I am concerned they are the only shop I will drive up to from down here in Laughlin, just to pay a visit! Keep up the good work NFA and when I DO have that $2000 for a new gun, you WILL be the shop that gets my business!
NFA is very different from other stores I’ve been too. They carry lots of different products from firearms/firearm accessories, ammo, Class 3 items, medical kits, to survival kits (to name a few). If you don’t see what you’re looking for, they can order it and have it to you in about a week. On top of that, they are a Glock public safety dealer and they can sign you up for the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) program and sell you a Glock at public safety pricing on the spot. Give them a chance to get you what you need. You will not be disappointed.
I’ve found my new happy place here. Right off the bat I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. Any questions I had were answered on the spot and if they weren’t sure they got the info I was looking for quickly. Considering the size of the shop it has an very impressive inventory at very competitive prices. After a couple of trips there they still remember your name. That mean alot were I come from. Great store… Great people.
I’ve made sevral purchases from them & always get great sevice, keep it y’all!
I love NFA. I did a transfer through them and everyone was extremely helpful and nice-excellent customer service. They have a pretty good selection of firearms and accessories, and like was mentioned before, they aren’t pushy or rude at all. Three other family members all went there on different occasions and all received the same great service.
Thanks for the comments that you Vegas locals have left. I’ve been seriously contemplating buying some of their lowers for a few lightweight AR builds and to know that they are a solidly-run company with employees/owners who actually care, that seals the deal for me.
Stay tuned. I will be giving away some of NFA lowers here and on another site in the very near future.
I have to say when I was there last weekend, they were very polite and not pushy. They let me look at any gun I wanted without hesitation. My buddy even ordered the LW-15 GTAC. I live in the southwest and still would go there regularly because of the customer service.
I’m getting ready to give away 3 of those lowers. One a month for 3 months once I finish the review.
I can not wait for that, cause I’m looking at putting a deposit down on the basic lw-15. Guess I’ll have to wait an see in the contest
NFA is an excellent store!! Every time I’m in ther it seems to be packed. That says volumes to me about how a small business treats its customers. I do suggest if you live very far from the store to call or email to check if they have what you are looking for only because it can be a little tough to get your question answered when there are 30 other people in the store with the small number of employees that they have. It is worth the wait though as they are very helpfull and willing to answer all your questions no matter how busy they are. I definitely recommend NFA!!
I’ve found some great deals there, and their gunsmith is top notch! The staff is very helpful, but not pushy.
I just bought a complete upper there to go with the Lower I purchased from a private seller and I must say they were a huge help. He helped me make a great choice for what was the best option for ME. Even when I asked some stupid questions the guy I was dealing with answered them without making me feel stupid. It was about a 5 minute wait but it was pretty busy and they still made sure to let you know they hadn’t forgot about you. I would like to also state that the lower I bought came with some pretty messed up springs and they replaced them and even put it back together in a quick manner without any extra charges. Needless to say I returned the next day and bought a New scope with them and will be returning again to make some more purchases very soon.
